As we step into the beginnings of another fruitful month in fashion, we wanted to get you up to date with all the latest releases, campaigns, collections and announcements that you might have missed this week. From Balenciaga's first-ever ambassadors to the brand new MAISON ESSENTIELE store at The Intersection Paddington, here are are all the fashion moments you may have missed...

Spanish luxury fashion House Balenciaga has announced their first ever brand ambassadors: French actress Isabelle Huppert and Thai actor and singer PP Krit Amnuaydechkorn. The ambassadors were hand-selected for their creative work, values, and approaches to life, their personas seen to "represent the modern Balenciaga community".

“From the very beginning, Balenciaga has captured my attention for its creativity and ethical vision," said Amnuaydechkorn of the partnership. "As an artist, Balenciaga's creations allow me to express my authentic self and individuality to the world. During the proudest moments of my career, Balenciaga has been my chosen companion. I’m honoured and thrilled to pursue this exciting journey as a Balenciaga ambassador."

Dion Lee's new 'Cage Chain' collection was released this week with a campaign starring model and singer (and Madonna's daughter) Lourdes 'Lola' Leon. Leon is shot by photographer Carlota Guerrero tangled in the brand's latest ready-to-wear collection of chain handbags and jewellery (necklaces, earrings and even a key ring). Developed in Arezzo, Italy, the custom chain design remains a signature for the House of Dion Lee.

Foregrounding the collection are four handcrafted crescent-moon shaped bags in four colour ways: red, lime green, camouflage and a classic black.

The 21-year-old actor Levon Hawke (sister of Maya Hawke, and son of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke) is the latest creative to sit for Celine's creative director, Hedi Slimane. The portraits, taken in New York City, are the latest in Slimane's ongoing black-and-white portraiture series 'Portrait of A Performer', that have included the likes of Bob Dylan, The Strokes’ Julian Casablancas, and Jack White.

Levon's upcoming Indie film directed by Elliot Lester, The Thicket, is due for release later this year.

Inspired by the notion of 'broken beauty', Tory Burch has released a newly curated collection that aims at rebuilding the traditional female wardrobe whilst challenging and exploring perceptions of femininity and beauty. The brand's face, Emily Ratajkowski, is joined in the campaign by models Liu Wen and Nora Attal, captured by photographer Jamie Hawkesworth.

Australian fashion label bassike have launched their Spring 23 campaign this week, a range consisting of essentials across uniform, mainline, specialty leather, 8oz Japanese denim and jersey. The campaign's imagery focuses on the exploration of 'duos', and features a lovers Skye and Nathan, Hunter and her grandfather Helmut, sisters Mia and Grace, desk buddies Holly and Cilla and couple Mimi and Linea, best friends Sly and Elfy, housemates Bodhi and Zac, brothers Myles and James, and soulmates Julio and Mercedes.

The sleep, home and day wear brand have opened the doors to their brick-and-mortar store at The Intersection Paddington in Sydney. The store will be an extension of their online community, offering customers a place to try on their pieces, shop the latest styles before anyone else, and tap into the brand's creative networks in the neighbourhood.

Australian designer Hayden Cox, aka Haydenshapes has collaborated with Dion Lee on a wetsuit collection titled Haydenshapes Rubber by Dion Lee. The collection will launch at the end of the month, and features a fusion of architectural tailoring and innovative construction never before seen applied to a wetsuit.

The brands 15-year anniversary collection launched this week, after its acclaimed debut on the runway earlier this year at Afterpay Australian Fashion Week. The collection, motivated by the concept of 'softness' conveys a deep sense of relaxed comfort and ease that draws from the serenity of Australian landscape.

Oroton's latest collection 'Power To Bloom' launched this week, shot in an industrial greenhouse and inspired by the joys of spring, rejuvenation and new beginnings. The collection reinterprets timeless and iconic spring motifs and florals in mood-lifting primary hues: Poppy Red, Vibrant Yellow and Bright Jewel Green.
